Veggie Rx Study
A study about nutrition in pregnant patients at risk for gestational diabetes is under way at the residency. Our goal is to determine if physician-prescribed farmers market vouchers and intensive nutrition counseling can help women at risk for gestational diabetes consume more fresh produce; maintain healthy weight gain in pregnancy; and reduce risks of developing gestational diabetes.

Food Revolution
So many projects! Here are residents and faculty and the newly started Vista Clinic community garden project. Patients enjoyed the bountiful harvest. We're now onto winter crops of hearty greens!

smart phone salon
iMedSalon was created in 2011 by a group of passionate family medicine residents and faculty. They had the goal of creating a casual venue for physicians and other healthcare providers of all ages and levels of experience to learn, share, and teach each other about how to use smartphones smartly in our evolving practice of 21st century medicine.
