HOUSE STAFF SALARIES IN 2008
R1: $43,810
R2: $49,611
R3: $55,150
• Bilingual pay available at an additional $0.70 per hour.
BENEFITS

- Meals provided at the hospital free of charge
- Scrubs/lab coats provided to residents
- 36 days a year of Paid Time Off (PTO), including 9 holidays
- Step III exam fees paid
- Medical license fees paid for initial licensure
- DEA fees paid
- Educational fund: Books, periodicals, professional meetings, medical equipment and hardware: $1,200
- Relocation Reimbursement of $1,000 for relocation from outside of Sonoma County area
OVERTIME PAY
- Overtime pay at the rate of $40 per hour for providing call coverage for residents who are ill
- Additional hourly pay for worked holidays
- Additional pay for hours worked past noon, post-call
MOONLIGHTING
Residents are allowed to work in venues outside the residency program so long as it does
not interfere with their ability to fulfill their duties and responsibilities and education within
the program.
All residents engaging in outside work of a medical nature must be properly licensed and
notify the residency office of the nature and hours of their work and the malpractice coverage
provided.
The Program Director has discretion to stop “moonlighting” activities, if they are thought to
interfere with a resident’s education.
