What is Future Faces of Family Medicine (FFFM)?
Launched in 2011, Future Faces of Family Medicine (FFFM) is a pathways program for high school students from minority, lower socioeconomic and first-generation college backgrounds. Our aim is to address healthcare disparities along racial and socioeconomic lines by mentoring underrepresented minority high school students and providing avenues to careers in medicine.
Who participates in FFFM?
Each spring semester, after reviewing applications, FFFM leadership selects approximately 15-20 local high school students to participate in the program. Previously involved schools have included: Piner, Elsie Allen, Ridgeway, Roseland University Prep, Roseland Collegiate Prep, and YouthBuild.
Please email Dr. Mariah Hansen, HansenM3@sutterhealth.org, if you have any questions or want more information about the program.
