Taylor Lamarre-Austin, MD

Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
Taylor was born in Vermont and raised in Maine before returning to Vermont for her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Vermont. Before starting medical school, Taylor worked for two years as a research coordinator with the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Mass General Brigham in Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, she interviewed thousands of patients who had experienced life-altering injuries and discovered her passion for the art of listening and learning another’s story.

Taylor earned her medical degree at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, where she led student groups focused on health education for elementary and middle schoolers, volunteered at many events for families in the community, and organized the yoga student group, promoting wellness and mind-body connection. She discovered her love for family medicine during a clinical rotation in a small town in the Green Mountains. She saw how long-term relationships with patients in a community that cares about its members lead to the best outcomes she’d observed during medical school and realized her passion lies in being a small-town family doctor. Additionally, she discovered her love for caring for individuals of all ages and how much she enjoys learning from her patients. Her professional interests include women’s health, reproductive health access, labor and delivery, and pediatrics.

In her free time, Taylor loves to hike, camp, mountain bike, practice yoga, golf, and kayak with her husband and friends. She is looking forward to being able to enjoy all her hobbies year-round in the beautiful Californian weather! She is thrilled to be joining the Sutter Santa Rosa team and starting a new adventure in Northern California!
