Victoria Leung, MD

Victoria was adopted from China at a young age and was raised in Sacramento, California. She attended the University of California, San Diego, where she majored in Human Biology and minored in History. Her passion for medicine stemmed from volunteering as a patient support advocate and working alongside other healthcare providers in various specialties as part of the Palomar Health Pathmaker Internship. She also spent her spring and summer breaks attending a service trip in rural Colorado to help support those who struggle with addiction, mentoring underprivileged youth at Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego, and teaching swim lessons at a regional gym. 

Pursuing her desire to help others while learning about the intricacies of the human body, Victoria relocated to the Midwest to attend Saint Louis University School of Medicine. From advocating for children of all abilities to cherishing the vulnerable relationships formed in hospice settings, she discovered her love for Family Medicine through providing cost-effective and equitable care to individuals from all walks of life. Additionally, as a strong proponent and class representative for wellness, she helps implement ideas to encourage a culture of well-being among her peers, co-writes a biweekly school newsletter outlining community events, and creates a space for artistic expression.

Victoria is ecstatic to return to Northern California and join the Sutter Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency, where she can further explore her clinical interests in addiction and HIV medicine, as well as women’s health. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, fitness, going to concerts, and eating sushi and tacos!
