Antoinette Mason, M.D.
University of California, San Diego; Antoinette was born and raised in San Francisco, and is thrilled to be returning to Northern California for residency. She studied nutrition at UC Davis and built the foundation for her understanding of food as medicine. After college, Antoinette deepened her commitment to serving the underserved by supporting women as a birth and postpartum doula at San Francisco General Hospital. During that time, she also worked at the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations. There she conducted epidemiological research on interventions to reduce cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular health disparities. Through these experiences, it became clear to Antoinette that a life of service as a physician was her calling. In medical school, her passions for chronic disease management, women’s health, family planning, and integrative medicine grew immensely. She was extensively involved in the UC San Diego Student-Run Free clinic both as the manager of the Women’s Health Clinic and the founder of the Integrative Medicine Clinic. In her free time, you can find Antoinette in the yoga studio, at the farmers market, or hiking and biking the trails of Northern California.
