Daniel B. Whitesides, M.D., M.P.H.
University of North Carolina School of Medicine; Born and raised in North Carolina, Daniel studied Biology and Spanish as an undergrad at UNC-Chapel Hill. While there, he traveled to Argentina and spent time providing medical care in rural, underserved communities; it was during this time that Daniel’s desire to pursue medicine became clear. After college, Daniel spent a year at Georgetown completing a graduate program focused on complementary and alternative medicine. He then returned to UNC for medical school, where he also completed a Master’s in Public Health. Based on his experiences, Daniel is excited about many aspects of family medicine, including global health, health policy, and maternal and child health. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys running, swimming, juggling, playing sports, and has recently taken up rock climbing. As he makes the jump from the East Coast to the West Coast, Daniel is excited to take on the new adventures that await him, and the many outdoor activities available in the beautiful Santa Rosa region.
