Elisa Glubok Gonzalez, M.D., M.P.H.

Warren Alpert Medical School – Brown University; Elisa was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Born to a Cuban mother and a Jewish father, she grew up speaking both English and Spanish at home, as well as celebrating many cultural traditions. She attended Brown University for her undergraduate degree in Classics, inspiring her love for all things ancient. In college, she worked as a Sexual Assault Peer Educator and Woman Peer Counselor for the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender. Through these roles, she developed a passion for gender equity and reproductive justice. After college, she moved to Israel for a year and worked for Ma’ase Olam, an organization whose mission is to create volunteer opportunities for youth from different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds in order to foster leadership skills and create cross-cultural understanding. In medical school, Elisa was one of the leaders for Sex Ed by Brown Med, a sex education program for middle schoolers of Central Falls, Rhode Island, one of the poorest communities in the region. Between her third and fourth years of medical school, Elisa earned her Master’s in Public Health degree at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. During this time, Elisa served as a Health Policy Fellow for the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. In this role, Elisa helped found the Family Acceptance Task Force, whose goals include engaging the families of LGBTQ youth in their healthy growth and development. In her free time, Elisa enjoys baking sweets for loved ones, exploring nature, salsa dancing, and cuddling the family’s one-eyed dog, Mango.
