Elisabeth Bedolla, M.D.
University of Washington School of Medicine; Elisabeth was born in Mexico, but raised in Watsonville, California. As the daughter of agricultural working parents, the twenty-mile trip up the road to UC Santa Cruz was life-changing: While earning her degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, she fostered her dedication to teaching and mentorship of underrepresented and first-generation students, like herself. At the same time, her family’s experiences facing economic, social and cultural barriers to healthcare primed her interest in the medical field. As a medical student, she was co-chair of UW’s Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and an active voice in UW’s Admissions Committee. Her commitments to community education and engagement, addressing adversity through mentorship, and working with diverse and underserved communities led to her choose a career in Family Medicine. She is excited to join the Santa Rosa medical community where she will nurture her interests in women’s health, adolescent medicine and preventative health. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and watching team sports.
