Gabrielle Leah Steinberg, M.D, M.P.H.
University of Massachusetts Medical School; Gabrielle was born in Boston and raised in a French-American family. Drawn to international experiences, she first moved to Canada for her undergraduate studies at McGill University where she studied neuroscience, and later to Switzerland for an internship at the World Health Organization. Her passion for preventative public health measures and community development pushed her to pursue an MPH at the University of Toronto, where she worked in harm reduction for a local community health center and with a community arts group for homeless and LGBTQ youth. After returning to her home state for medical school, she continued to explore and challenge concepts of health inequities, getting involved with local addiction advocacy groups and facilitating health workshops with youth involved in the correctional system. Early in her training, Gabrielle was drawn to Family Medicine, developing clinical interests in adolescent medicine, addiction, family planning, and transgender health. She enjoys staying active with all kinds of fitness classes, watching movies, and getting competitive during game nights with friends and family. Gabrielle is thrilled to be joining the Santa Rosa community!
