Gillian Zuckerman, M.D., Ph.D.
University of Massachusetts Medical School; Gillian was born and raised in Massachusetts, and though she has spent a grand total of two years of her life living outside of the Commonwealth, she is very excited to start new adventures in California. She studied animal sciences at University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she conducted epigenetics research. She then moved on to complete her MD/PhD at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Her dissertation examined contraceptive use by women with substance use disorders, using both qualitative interviews and claims data analysis. Gillian is a passionate political advocate, particularly for issues surrounding women’s health and addiction. Outside of medicine, Gillian enjoys stage acting, running (sometimes), and spending time with her husband and their two obnoxious, wonderful dogs.
