Navee Sidhu, M.D.
University of Washington; Navee was born in Germany and grew up in Seattle, WA speaking English and German at home, while learning to make dahl and roti from his Punjabi grandmother. He went to college at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and majored in Latin American Studies. After graduation he returned to Seattle to work in a community health clinic. During his two years as a health educator at Sea Mar Community Health Center, he also coached youth soccer, managed community kitchens, and coordinated employee zumba classes. He later attended University of Washington Medical School, where his interests led him to participate in medical curriculum development as well as serve on the board of UW’s student-run clinics. His professional interests include adolescent health, immigrant health, public health and medical education. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking Indian food, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, and woodworking. He recently moved to California from Washington with his partner, Megan, and their two cats, Oso and Nori. He looks forward to biking in the sun, camping along the coast, and spending time with his sister, Lara, who is a social worker in Oakland.
