Parker Duncan, MD, MPH
Social justice, “single-payer”, medicine as service to community – and a conviction that the counter-culture foundation of Family Medicine is uniquely poised to promote systemic change towards the three. Parker’s path to Santa Rosa included an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf; work as a bilingual mental health counselor in the Mission District of San Francisco; then, at UCI, being part of the inaugural cohort of PRIME-LC, a program designed to prepare physician-leaders to work in and for the Latino community. Yoga, travel, friends and family fulfill his “outside medicine” life.
