Phoebe Mar Devitt, M.D.
University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; Phoebe was born and raised in the driftless area of rural Wisconsin where she spent her younger years exploring the rolling hills and endless valleys. Her father, a family medicine doctor, introduced her to the field of medicine and sparked a particular interest when taking Phoebe on house calls to the local Amish community. Throughout undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she worked as a certified nursing assistant in a variety of healthcare settings, which solidified her decision to go into medicine. In medical school Phoebe became part of the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine and met her partner Joel Charles, who also shares her passion for family medicine. During medical school Phoebe spent time in rural Ecuador assisting with house calls in mountain villages to provide basic healthcare needs. Phoebe also developed an immunization campaign to increase Amish immunization rates. Phoebe is interested in rural medicine, immunization awareness, underserved communities, and integrative medicine. She loves gardening, backpacking, birding, cross-country skiing, biking, traveling, and her two cats.
