Rhianon Liu, M.D.
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; Rhianon grew up outside of Boston with two physician parents and four younger siblings. During her undergraduate education at Stanford University, she had opportunities to work in a refugee camp in northern Zambia and in the townships of Cape Town. Witnessing the stark inequalities of the world and the intersection of health and human rights inspired her to apply to medical school. Before starting at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she completed yoga teacher training, and devoted much time over the next five years to leading a yoga program and other wellness activities for her classmates. In medical school, her professional interests expanded to include global health, integrative medicine, medical education, and palliative care. She completed a year of research at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at UCSF, working on a variety of projects related to integrative medicine for underserved patient populations. Outside of work she enjoys practicing yoga, playing soccer, skiing, traveling, reading, and spending time with loved ones. Some of her new pursuits include surfing and meditating.
