Excellence Integrity Relationship

Ryley Saedi-Kwon, M.D.

Ryley was born and raised in Washington state among a large and tight-knit multicultural extended family. Her mother is white, and her father emigrated from Iran due to religious persecution. This upbringing instilled in her the values of family, community, and service. She studied Biology at the University of Washington before spending a year doing community building work focused on the spiritual empowerment of children and youth in a diverse neighborhood of South Seattle. She also worked as an Emergency Department Scribe for several years. Coming into medical school, Ryley was drawn to family medicine for the breadth of practice it offers in addition to its emphasis on relationship building, preventative care, and caring for the individual in the context of their family and community. During her time in medical school, she had the honor of serving alongside many incredible peers in mentoring youth and leading student interest groups including the Family Medicine Interest Group, the Integrative Medicine Interest Group, the Middle Eastern and South Asian Association Group and the Student National Medical Association Chapter. She is thrilled to be joining the Sutter Santa Rosa community and to continue growing in her passion for becoming a culturally conscious physician who can provide personalized care, especially for underserved and immigrant populations. Her professional interests include community medicine, integrative medicine, women’s health and obstetrics, and child and adolescent health. Outside of medicine Ryley enjoys spending time with family, friends, her husband, and dog, being outdoors, exploring new areas, practicing Spanish, doing Zumba, playing board games, and hanging out at local coffee shops.
