Serena Edwards, M.D.
University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine; Serena grew up in North Carolina and found her way to patient care through her work as a massage therapist. Before traveling to the Midwest for medical school, she completed a Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Appalachian State University. While living in the Southern Appalachian mountains, she studied native medicinal plant species and cultivated a passion for women’s health through her work as a doula. Serena is excited for the opportunity to provide integrative women’s health and obstetrical care as a family medicine practitioner. Outside of work (and sometimes in stairwells and elevators), she loves to sing. She recharges by practicing yoga, hiking, and connecting with friends and family. She is thrilled to begin the next stage of her medical training in Santa Rosa!
