Briga Mullin, MD, MSc
University of California, Irvine; Briga grew up in Sonoma County and is excited to complete residency training in her home community. She studied biochemistry and molecular biology first at the Santa Rosa Junior College and then at UC Davis. While working in a free clinic during her time at UC Davis, Briga developed a strong passion for providing medical care to under-resourced populations. She continued her training in this area during medical school, participating in a unique bilingual program focusing on training students to become physician leaders and advocates for Latinx communities.

In medical school Briga additionally focused on doing research regarding diabetes and food insecurity as well as pursuing several quality improvement projects related to medical education and academic support. She obtained a Master’s of Science degree from Arizona State University in the science of healthcare delivery which expanded her knowledge of health systems organization. Clinically, her areas of interest include inpatient medicine, chronic conditions management, mental health and women’s health. In her free time, Briga enjoys riding her horse Sebastian, listening to audiobooks, hiking, and gardening.
