Clark Santee, MD

Frank H. Netter School of Medicine Quinnipiac University; Clark was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA and studied chemical biology at UC Berkeley. While in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to help remediate pollution from the floods, he began to understand structural health inequalities and developed a passion for community health and environmental justice work. After completing his undergraduate education, he spent many years pursuing a career in microbiology research while also remaining involved in variety of environmental justice and community health projects. Realizing that his true passions were in patient care rather than laboratory research, he decided to pursue a career as a physician. 

In medical school he was executive director of his school’s student run free clinic and lead the clinic’s expansion of services from health screenings to medical care for uninsured patients. His professional interests include advocacy and health policy, transgender and LGBQ medicine, migrant health, reproductive and sexual health, and HIV medicine. Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time in nature and gardening.
