Schedules

  • Fellows will begin in mid-August with 4 weeks of orientation and onboarding.
  • Fellows will be expected to attend the California Society of Addiction Medicine conference during their first month and will also have the opportunity to attend other relevant conferences throughout the year which may include the National Healthcare for the Homeless Conference, the American Society of Addiction Medicine Conference, and Harm Reduction International Conference.
  • Fellows rotate in two-week blocks between primarily outpatient and inpatient settings.  The two fellows share a practice, allowing for continuous provision of outpatient care.
  • Outpatient weeks will consist of a variety of ambulatory addiction medicine experiences including administrative time to participate in faculty meetings, faculty development, faculty DEIA training and leadership sessions and weekly dedicated fellows teaching and case conferencing time.
  • During inpatient blocks fellows provide addiction medicine consultative services throughout Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital.
