Bayer Farms Outreach Program, a partnership with LandPaths, offers an adapted summer curriculum that utilizes the gardens and open space to teach healthy lifestyle habits to the Roseland-based community youth receiving free or reduced lunch. Located on a two-acre plot in Roseland, Bayer Farm also provides free workshops on composting and planting to the community.
In 2014, we expanded our youth pathways engagement to include the Bayer Farms Outreach Program -- an adapted summer curriculum that utilizes the gardens and open space to teach healthy habits as well as healthcare career promotion to the Roseland-based community youth receiving free or reduced lunch. Residents on their behavioral health will have dedicated time, during their rotation, to spend afternoons at the farm and interacting with the community. |
