While some experiences are more formal such as the Addiction Medicine or HIV training, residents also have the option to serve as mentors to high schoolers in the Future Faces of Family Medicine program and work with elementary school students at Roseland Elementary.
Opportunities also arise throughout the year for residents to be more involved in the community, including activities like prepping meals for the homeless, leading health information sessions, volunteering for farmworker and workers' rights support, and summer youth programs.
