What We Learn
Our teaching curriculum has continually improved to meet the needs of our residents utilizing an expanded variety of methods and resources.
A portion of every Thursday afternoon is protected teaching time which includes our new Case Based Learning curriculum, hands on workshops (i.e. procedures, simulation, musculoskeletal, and women’s health), along with specialty topics (i.e. ED, surgery, pediatrics, culturally responsive medicine, and behavioral health). In both the hospital and clinic, we created a successful method of teaching that helps residents retain the most useful information: CLIPS (Clinical Learning In Practice Sessions). |
Weekly Grand Rounds at Santa Rosa Regional Hospital (though currently on Zoom), includes a multidisciplinary audience with a variety of topics, ranging from the latest in diabetes care to racial inequities in pain control to clinical conundrums on our OB and Medicine inpatient services.
