Jacklyn Cheng, MD, MPH
A native Texan, Jacky attended undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin (hook 'em!) where she majored in Plan II Honors (an interdisciplinary liberal arts program, not a contraception). She then went to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where she also received her MPH at the University of Texas School of Public Health as part of a dual-degree program. After years in Texas, she made a drastic change and traveled north to New England and attended a four-year residency at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency where she had an area of concentration in "women's health."

After graduating from residency, she spent five years as faculty at Boston University/Boston Medical Center where she worked with residents as the intern community medicine course director and co-taught resident seminars in implicit bias, history of racism in Boston, and gender-affirming care. She was excited to return to a warmer climate and moved to Santa Rosa in 2023. Currently, at the residency, she serves as associate program director, electives director, and CEDAWG faculty lead. She also continues to work on improving the residency's gender-affirming care curriculum. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, experimenting with Kombucha flavors, and exploring new restaurants.
