Talia Kostick, MD
A Berkeley native, Talia attended medical school in snowy Vermont, happily returning to California to complete her Family Medicine Residency at SRFMR. She continued her training with a Family Medicine OB Fellowship at the University of Utah, gaining additional experience in reproductive health and high-risk and surgical obstetrics. Passionate about medical education, she enjoys teaching patient-centered and risk-reduction care models and looks forward to expanding and adapting the SRFMR Reproductive Health Education Curriculum in the unfolding 'post-Roe' national landscape.

Prior to pursuing medicine, Talia studied public health and medical anthropology at Vassar College. She honed her Spanish language skills while working at a community-based rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in rural southern Mexico and as a medical translator for a non-profit that trains Central American physicians in cervical cancer screening. Her commitment to reproductive healthcare and birth work deepened during the three years she worked full-time as a birth doula prior to medical school. Additionally, Talia is trained as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner, Asylum Medical Evaluator, and advanced abortion provider.
When not at work, Talia is often found with a dog in her lap, hiking, watching documentary films or sharing meals with friends and family.
